Some of Our Club's Activities

The Baltimore Area American Flyer Club (BAAFC) is a non-profit model railroad club dedicated to American Flyer Trains. Our club is centered in the Baltimore/Washington metropolitan although our membership extends from Pennsylvania to Virginia.

Some Information on our Club's Activities

Monthly Meetings

Our club holds monthly club meetings are member's home. Normally held on the third Thursday of each monthly, we occassionaly have a meeting on Saturday afternoon or another day. Meetings normally consist of seeing the host's layout and American Flyer collection plus a short business meeting. We have also held specialized meetings such as one engine repair or scenery building.

Modular Layout

Our club has a modular American Flyer layout which we operate about 15 times per year. See the separate page on our modular layout.

Field Trips

We normally have two to three field trips a year. Some of the more interesting trips that we have taken include the following:

• Tour of the B&O Museum in Baltimore
• Visit to the TCA museum and All Aboard American Flyer layout in Strasburg, PA
• Layout Tour of five layouts of members of the South Jersey S Gaugers Club
