73 Tube Stock

The 1973 Tube Stock is used by the Piccadilly Line and first entered passenger service in August 1975.

The trains underwent a refurbishment programme which commenced in 1996 and which was completed in 2000 which drastically changed both the external appearance and the interior layouts of the trains.

Despite the major external differences the trains were very much the basis for the design of the D78 Stock

The following photos have been supplied by Chris Cobley - my thanks to him.
