NOTES AND INFO:

WM ordered a total of three of these 1500 HP units from Baldwin in the late 1940s. After testing #170 in 1947, #171 and #172 were ordered the following year. These units were known best for their switching duties at Hagerstown. Along with the AS16's which they are very similar to, these units were retired or sold for scrap in 1969.
