Wearing the classy red and black switcher scheme (without any side sill stripe), Baldwin DS 4-4-1000 1438 was at the Yard B tower in Hamlet in1965. The Chinese red, black and silver scheme was used from the early forties until the Atlantic Coast Line/Seaboard Air Line merger on July 1, 1967. This version lacks any striping on the side sill.
