The Plan

Well, there isn't actually a "plan", but there is an idea. And the idea is to build a mountain railroad that resembles the SP railroad.

We are planning to incorporate a branch line and "foreign" road traffic into the layout. There is some "hidden" staging that is not quite hidden, but is outside the walls of the layout. The specifics that we can tell you about right now are as follows...

Room size is aprox. 25 X 50 ft.but in an irregular shape.
We are using a minimum mainline radius of 30 inches.
We are using code 100 on the main and code 83 on the branch.
At this point the maximum grade is aprox. 2.5%...but that may change (this will definitely be a helper district).
We will be able to run completely around the room or operate it as a point to point.
We are planning a roundhouse operation, but have not as yet decided on the size...possibly up to 9-stall.
Minimum table height is 48" and increases to about 60"+.
