The San Luis Obispo helpers have not been on their spur track for more than 10 minuets since arriving from the MWCPT. Amtrak 775 backs into its spur track in the background.

A patched SP SD40M-2 leads a Roseville to Newark freight through Rodeo, just north of Hercules along the Cal-P.

Union Pacific 2682 a former SP SD40M-2 is on the south end of the SLO helper set here. All three units are facing north which is rather odd b/c that means that 2682 will be running long hood forward on the return trip.

The SLO helpers idle by the depot waiting for clearance to head up Cuesta Grade. UP 2692 here is a former SP SD40M-2. All three units are facing north which is rather odd b/c that means that 2682 will be running long hood forward on the return trip.

A former Eire Lackawanna SD45M which was rebuilt into a SP SD40M-2 now serves the Union Pacific. Here it is on the south end of the SLO helper set.

The San Luis Obispo helper set takes a rare trip south. This is the only time I have ever seen the helpers go south of the depot.
