RAILROADS OF THE EAST PAGE 2

CSX 8071 south is passing Cartersville, Georgia off the Knoxville line.  CSX 8071 is an SD40-2 rebuilt from and SD40.  CSX 8606 is an SD50.  The train  approaches Emerson in middle photo and meets a northbound empty coal train with a new  AC4400CWs on it in the right photo.  CSX 292 and 58 waits on the southbound to clear.  The emptys are headed to Knoxville.  These three photos were made on Febuary 16, 1998.  Photos by Bill Thievon.
