Kansas City Southern 6026 leads a westbound train around the south leg of the wye at Metro, Texas on April 28, 2005. Located west of Denton and north of Fort Worth, Metro is the junction of the BNSF Fort Worth Subdivision (former Santa Fe from Temple to Gainesville) and the KCS Alliance Subdivision (former ATSF branch to Dallas, sold to KCS in 1994). The train will travel south (via KCS trackage rights on the Ft Worth Sub) to its destination at BNSF's Alliance yard.
