    NOTE:
    MRS ALCo. S2 #208 was rebuilt by EMD. During the rebuild, the unit recieved an EMD 567-C equipped with 645 power assemblies, a new hood, and ARR trucks to replace the origional blunt trucks.
    The unit was designated as a S4m, and renumbered as 253.

    Info on the Manufacturers Railway Company:

    MRS has been serving the St. Louis Area since 1887. MRS also provides locomotive repair and maintenance. They do everything ranging from rebuilding components to rebuilding entire locomotives. The types of industries the MRS serves include;
    • Railroads
    • Grain Elevators
    • Material Transfer Operators
    • Industry Switching Services
    • Leasing Companies

    The MRS runs a daily transfer freight to the Alton & Southern at their Gateway Yard in East St. Louis, IL. The A&S in turn connects with all the major class 1 railroads.

    The MRS maintenance and engine house facilities are located at the "foot" of Arsenal St.
