Tshiuetin Rail Transportation Inc. (TRT) has been created by Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikamach, the Nation Innu Matimekush-Lac John and the Innu Takuaikan Uashat mak Mani-Utenam.
TRT owns and operates the former Menihek Subdivision of the Quebec North Shore & Labrador Railway, between Schefferville and Emeril Junction with the QNS&L Wacouna and Northernland subdivisions, some 135 miles southward.
TRT operates using Occupancy Control System (OCS). The company is the first owned and operated by natives and provide passenger and freight services to Schefferville.
TRT operates a way-freight carrying petroleum products and general supplies once a week for local needs between Emeril Jct and Schefferville.
