This section was set up on December 7, 1999.

To commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Hudson River Railroad (predecessor of the New York Central on the east side of the Hudson River in New York), Metro-North Railroad painted a pair of former New Haven FL9s into the NYC Lightning Stripe scheme (Metro-North operates commuter service over this railroad). The two FL9s pulled a series of excursions on October 2, 1999, and then pulled a Metro-North business train on October 7th.

On October 2, 1999, New York Central FL9s 2013 and 2012 roll through Irvington, New York, heading south for Mott Haven Junction where they will turn back north.

The duo head back north along the Hudson past the Greystone station. Passengers boarded at Yonkers and the train is heading for a ceremony at Peekskill.

After departing Peekskill, the train proceeds north. This view is just minutes out of Peekskill at Roa Hook.

TT3303

The train went as far north as Beacon, where the units were run around the train. New York Central 2012 is in charge as the train swings through the S-curves at Roa Hook southbound.
