Somewhere in Michigan the power for the military extra, Canadian National 2-8-2 3254, is cut off so cars can be added to the train. Captain Kenny Ganz discusses the move with engineer Tom Shore.

While the engine is cut away, more troops check in and board the coaches.

CNR 3254 has returned to the coaches. Final goodbyes are said while a last-minute check is made of the military vehicles on the flat cars.

Highball! Troops give the victory sign to the engineer of another military extra as the train speeds through the yard behind Union Pacific 4-8-8-4 4012.
