AMTRAK'S Premier Train Traveling between Los Angeles and Seattle.

Children's Lounge/Playarea on the bottom level of a Superliner II coach car, with Videos and Toys. Adult/Parental Supervision Required. A Coast Starlight Exclusive.

Slowly being phased in: Renovated Pacific Parlour Cars. Amtrak West has remodeled two of the First Class Lounge Cars, and plans to do the rest of the Pacific Parlour Car Fleet (5 of them total) soon. Pictures will be posted, once one of these cars show up in Seattle and your internet editor has a camera with him.

Important Notes: There is no smoking allowed on this train, but the train will make extended stops at key stations for smoking breaks. Also, make sure you listen to the station announcements carefully if you are seating in coach. Coach cars are dropped and picked up enroute (Oakland and Portland).

King Estate Pinot Giris

Willamette Valley, Oregon - Exotic fruit flavor, a little spicy, a bit lighter than Chardonnay. Oregon's hottest white wine.--$4.25 for a glass, and $17.00 for a bottle.

Columbia Crest Merlot

Columbia Valley, Washington - Founded by Rodney Strong in 1959, this winery continues to produce Cabernets from the best regions of Somona, including Alexander Valley, Dry Creek, and the Russian River Valley. Supple, rich flavors bursting with currant and black cherry fruit with a hint of cedar and creamy oak are rounded by almost 2 years of aging in wood and glass.--$4.25 for a glass, and $17.00 for a bottle.

Simi Rose of Cabernet Sauivignon

Sonoma County, California - Bright strawberry shade of pink wiht aromas of cherries and watermelons. This wine has crisp fruit flavors of tart cherries with a lively , clean finish.--$3.50 for a glass, and $14.00 for a bottle.

Prepared up, over or scrambled. Served with your choice of grits, or hash browned potatoes and white or wheat toast or freshly baked biscuit.

Coast Starlight Omelette (prepared with ham and cheese) - $5.00

An omelette prepared with red and green bell peppers and salsa with your choice of grits or hash brown potatoes and white or wheat toast or freshly baked biscuit.

Steak and Eggs - $7.00

Served with your choice of grits, or hash browned potatoes and white or wheat toast or freshly baked biscuit.

Eggs Benedict - $6.00

Eggs and ham on an English muffin topped with hollandaise sauce served with your choice of grits or hash browned potatoes.

French Toast - $4.75

Two thick slices of egg-dipped French Toast topped with fresh berries. Served with blueberry flavored syrup.

Coach's Oats with Cinnamon and Raisins - $3.75

Served with Cinnamon and raisins, 2% milk and white or wheat toast or freshly baked biscuit.

A freshly toasted bagel with light cream cheese served with fresh fruit and non-fat fruited yogurt.

Cascade Chicken Salad - $6.50

A salad of field greens and croutons tossed with Caesar dressing, and topped with sliced grilled chicken breast.

Mount Shasta Steak Sandwich - $6.50

Served open face on toasted country bread with caramelized sweet onions and french fries.

Coast Starlight Chicken Pot Pie - $6.25

Breast of chicken, carrots and peas in a chicken gravy topped with a flaky pastry crust served with a dinner roll.

Redding Rotini - $6.50

Corkscrew pasta tossed in Alfedo sauce served with garlic bread.

Grilled to perfection and served with three-pepper relish.

Castroville Cheese Tortellini - $10.25

Cheese tortellini and artichoke hearts tossed in a creamy garlic pesto sauce.

A classic that is slowly roasted and served with garlic mashed potatoes and gravy with a choice of vegetables.

Golden Gate Strip Steak - $15.00

Prepared to your preference in a mushroom marsala sauce.

Yakima Valley Baked Chicken - $11.50

An 8oz boneless skinless chicken breast sauteed in pinor noir and sherry, then baked to perfection a dried cherry sauce.

Oregon Trail Salmon Filet - $14.25

Salmon marinated in soy sauce, ginger and garlic, then topped with toasted sesame seeds and baked.
