26 Apr 05 This is the first of several updates to the April
24.0 schedules, with emphasis on the corridor services. The
Texas Eagle, Heartland Flyer, City of New Orleans
and the Illini are included.
14 Mar 05 Version 23.4 revises the Three Rivers schedule to be the
23.4 Pennsylvanian and updates the Keystone and New York-Washington
schedules. The reschedule of the Sunset Limited and connections are
also included. The Chicago - Pittsburgh file is deleted and the
temporary San Joaquin schedule file is deleted.
21 Jan 05 This version adds temporary San Joaquin schedule for the track
23.3 reconstruction project January 23 to February 4, 2005. A few minor
edits are also included.
21 Dec 04 Version 23.2 incorporates the Amtrak California Thruway service changes
23.2 effective 17 November. Minor revisions to the train service files to
include minor updates for the November 17 changes.
24 Nov 04 This update includes updated files for the rest of the trains and
23.1 the thruway schedules except for the California thruway services.
2 Nov 04 Most of the train schedule files are updated for the fall schedule
23.0 change. The thruway schedules are not updated in this release.
22 Jul 04 This update corrects an omission from the last update and deletes the reference

27 Apr 04 Most of the train schedule files are updated for the April schedule change.
22.0 Note that the International was cut back to Port Huron as the Blue Water.
Also, the Capitols schedules were converted to separate north and south files.
The thruway schedules are not updated in this release.
30 Dec 03 This version corrects and updates the outgoing links to other sites. The
21.3 onboard services have been updated and a new file was created for the Silver
Service/Florida train services and the Northeast Services file was expanded
to include the Empire and Keystone corridors and links to the named
eastern/northeast trains. This update also includes some October 27 changes
made after the schedules were published.
10 Nov 03 This version corrects the schedule for the connections at Aldershot to Ontario
21.2 in the Maple Leaf file. Also, the outgoing links in the west coast train
schedule files have been updated and the Washington - Idaho service file
was reformatted.
6 Nov 03 Updating of the west coast train schedules and the thruway schedules are included
21.1 in this vesion, completing the October 27 update. The Surf/Lompoc California thruway
file is discontinued.
27 Oct 03 The train schedule files except for the west coast rains are updated for the
21.0 October schedule change. The thruway schedules are not updated in this release.
6 Jun 03 An updated station list is included in this update. Several files were
20.21 edited to correct minor problems and to add connection information.
27 May 03 The California thruway schedules were updated to reflect the April 28
20.2 schedule changes. The Empiore corridor schedules were updated to
reflect the May 19 schedule corrections.
12 May 03 The Empire Corridor eastward, the Cardinal, and the Coast Starlight
20.1 schedules were updated for the April 28 changes. The Salt Lake City to
Boise thruway bus was restored to the California Zephyr file. The Alaska
Marine Highway service was added to the Cascade Corridor file.
28 Apr 03 The schedule files were updated for the April 28 schedule change.
20.0 The thruway schedules have not been updated in this release.
10 Feb 03 The Pennsylvanian service is reduce to New York - Pittsburgh instead
19.5 of Chicago. The Keystone and New York - Washington files were updated
to the February 10 schedules. A new Pittsburgh - Chicago file was created.
28 Jan 03 The Northeast corridor Boston, Washingtone, and Keystone files were
19.4 revised to the January 27 schedule changes. The Springfield files were
reformatted to combine weekday and weekend trains. Also, the thruway
links were edited to delete old links and add new files and links.
7 Jan 03 The Capitol schedule is revised, adding a an early morning train from
19.31 Sacramento to San Jose and a late evening Friday train Oakland to
Sacramento.

Silver Service, and the Empire corridor westbound.
7 Apr 02 The Empire Corridor and the Vermonter files were updated to reflect
17.10 changes related to Metro North track maintenance. A few other

17.9 were updated.

17.0 effective on September. Missing are most of the Amtrak Thruway,
Capitols, San Joaquin, California Zephyr, New York - Washington,
and the southbound Boston - Washington weekend schedules. This
update also includes updated Amtrak links for long distance
trains in the northeast.
24 Aug 01 This change resulted from the changes in the Coast Starlight
16.6 schedules. Also included are minor edits to the Kentucky
Cardinal, the Carolinian/Piedment, and the New York -
Philadelphia - Chicago files.
15 Aug 01 This change updates the schedules for the weekday Acela Express
16.5 service between Washington and Boston, adding one round trip New
York to Boston abd two reound trips New York to Washington,
replacing four current metroliners. Minor edits/corrections are
incorporated in the Sunset Limited and Texas Eagle files.
27 Jul 01 This version updates the Amtrak Thruway schedules that are
16.4 operated by Greyhound and some minor file edits. the files
affected are NY - Philadelphia - Chicago, Virginia service,
Crescent, Florida service, Empire Builder, Southwest Chief,
Sunset Limited, Texas Eagle, and all the thruway files.
13 Jul 01 This update is included to correct the Ethan Allen file and
16.32 reinstate the Amtrak Thruway connections to Foxwoods.
12 Jul 01 This version corrects the Vermonter file, deleting the notes

18 Jun 01 This update is to included the notice of temporary service
16.21 discontinuance north of Springfield due to poor track conditions
on the New England Central RR. Also included are updated Amtrak
California route files to correct several minor errors.
29 May 01 This update incorporates the May 18 and May 21 Amtrak California
16.2 schedule changes. We also did some file cleanups to facilitate
future changes (e_broad, e_capit, e_card, mw_milw, and ne_em_e/w).
The ne_bo_nmf has minor corrections.
8 May 01 This update completes posting the April 29 general Amtrak schedule
16.1 change and includes minor edits to a few previously posted files.
30 Apr 01 This is the regular Amtrak spring schedule update. Most of the
16.0 files are updated and the rest will be done by May 6. Of note are
that the Acela Express service is being further increased and the
Connecticut Valley service to Springfield is reduced.
6 Apr 01 This update corrects errors in the 1 April Empire Corridor revisions.
15.51 Also included are more link corrections and some other minor changes.
1 Apr 01 This version updates the Empire Corridor schedules to reflect delays
15.5 due to construction along the Husdon River. We also update some
links and include some minor file editing.
5 Mar 01 This update is primarily the changes made to the Northeast Corridor
15.4 schedules that add two more roundtrips of the Acela Express - one each
Boston - New York and Washington - New York, non-stop. The Texas Eagle
and Sunset Limited schedules were updated to reflect the return to
Marshall and Longview of the Texas Eagle and the discontinuance of the
fourth San Antonio service. A few other files were edited.
9 Jan 01 We incorporate the January 9 Greyhound changes into the files. The
15.3 format for the Boston schedules was expanded to weekday/weekend and the
Keystone files were reformatted. Minor edits and corrections and some
link updates were made to most of the western and west coast files and
a few others. The background color was changed on the modified files.
The old update notes were relegated to a separate archive file.
11 Dec 00 This version updates the Northeast schedules by adding the initial
15.2 Acela Express service. The Keystone, Empire Corridor, and the
Adirondack files also have minor changes. The link to the Shore Line
East site was updated and the Champlain Flyer commuter service was
linked from the Vermonter schedule. The Sounder link was restored to
the Cascades file, connecting buses were corrected in the Capitols
file, and links to the Zephyr file for connecting buses were restored.
The station list was also updated.
7 Nov 00 This version completes the semi-annual schedule update by adding
15.1 Amtrak California coordinated Thruway bus schedules. Minor edits
are also included on the index page and the "credits" page.
31 Oct 00 This update incorporates the semi-annual fall schedule changes. The
15.0 Northeast Corridor has many changes. Of note, is the attempt to
operate many of the trains at the same time every hour. We also
introduce the use of the new Amtrak logo. The California Thruway
coordinated bus service is not yet updated.
11 Oct 00 This change adds the Truckee, CA bus stop to the connecting bus
14.71 Capitol train 740.
10 Oct 00 The second Talgo service train between Portland and Eugene was
14.7 added and the bus deleted.
29 Sep 00 The Detroit/Toledo/Pontiac schedules are revised. We also add a
14.6 link for the new Coaster commuter rail service in the Seattle area.
The reference to a temporary Hiawatha schedule was removed.
21 Sep 00 This version incorporates Amtrak Thruway schedule changes for routes
14.5 operated by Greyhound. The schedules for the Sunset Limited and
Silver Meteor are also updated. Services revisions were made to the
Ethan Allen, Kentucky Cardinal, and the Twilight Shoreliner, The
race track special trains were removed from the San Diego schedules.
21 Jul 00 Version 14.4 adds the special San Diego trains to support traffic
14.4 associated with the Del Mar Race Track. Corrections in the connecting
trains schedule are included and the Illinois service file underwent
some reformatting.
9 Jul 00 This update posts the schedule changes for the northeast trains.
14.3 An Acela Regional round trip is added to the Northeast Corridor on
weekends. A train is added to the Empire corridor and a round trip is
added to the Keystone corridor. The remaining changes are largely
"fine tuning". Also included are the missing Coast Starlight schedule
and updates to the Cascades corridor and the Lake Country Limited.
10 Jun 00 This update completes the May 21 schedule chages by adding the
14.2 Amtrak California Thruway service. The Lake Country Limited has a
minor change reflecting that they are no longer reserved and a
temporary Hiawatha schedule is added for the "six week" period
of track construction.
25 May 00 Thia update completes the update for train swchedules which are
14.1 the Zephyr, the Southwest Chief, the Cardinal, and the Pacific
Surfliners (formerly the San Diegans).
21 May 00 The National schedule revisions are incorporated except for a few
14.0 long distance trains, the San Diegans, and the Amtrak California
thruway services. Corresponding minor adjustments were made to
the Northeastern train schedules. These changes add a third
Philadelphia - Chicago service with Viewliner sleeping cars and
connections to/from New York. The San Diego trains are being
upgraded to the Pacific Surfliner service.
17 Apr 00 Added the new Lake Country Limited train. Added Bridgeport stop to
13.8 NEC train 175. Minor edits to Lake Shore Limited, Heartland
Flyer, and Kentucky Cardinal files. Added link to new website to
the Crescent file.
9 Mar 00 This version corrects minor errors in the January 31 and February 27
13.72 schedule changes. The station list is also updated.
11 Feb 00 This issue revises the effective date of the Capitols and connections
13.71 changes to 27 February.
5 Feb 00 The California Amtrak train and thruway schedules are changed as a
13.7 result of the changes to the Capitol Corridor schedules. Also
included are some minor edits.
29 Jan 00 The Northeast schedules are revised as the Acela Reqional service`
13.6 is introduced between Boston and Washington. This affects also the
Empire, Keystone, the northeast long-distance, and the thruway
connections as well. Also included is a redo of the version 13.5
changes to correct a compression problem.
22 Jan 00 The San Joaquin and related Amtrak Thruway schedules are changed to be
13.5 in effect during rehabitation of the track between Stockton and Fresno.

10 Jan 00 Added a new file for the Twilight Shoreliner and updated the Kentucky
13.4 Cardinal and Capitols files. The International and Maple Leaf files
were revised to reflect the VIA schedule changes. Minor edits are also

8 Dec 99 Changed and extended Hoosier State to the Kentucky Cardinal. The
13.3 Riverbank station was moved to Modesto for the San Joaquins. Also

22 Nov 99 Added Pacific Northwest to notes for increased Thanksgiving notes

12.1 thruway file. Also did some reformatting into our standard format
and corrected some non-working links.
16 May 99 General spring schedule update. Northeast schedules have been
12.0 adjusted to allow for track work and electrification. Northeast
services changes Custom class to Business class and drops First Class
service on NortheastDirect trains. The Acela high speed trains will
provide first class service on the Acela Express service. Pacific
Northwest Cascade service is now faster using talgo trains. The west
Amtrak Thruway connecting service file is added. The California
Amtrak Thruway bus schedules were corrected but somw were not updated
to add new service.

The second step is a revision to the Hudson Valley schedules due to

Pennsylvania negotiations. Amtrak service to Atlantic City
eliminated: connecting NJ Transit schedules are shown instead.
Montrealer cut back to St. Albans, connecting bus shown.
Gulf Breeze replaced with bus. Frequency cut on Pere Marquette,
Hiawathas. Lake Cities terminates at Pontiac. Frequency cut.on
Desert Wind, Empire Builder (Chi-Minn. remains daily)
Amtrak will announce the second phase of its service cuts in
early April, to take effect in June. Seattle-Vancouver service
expected to begin late May. Seasonal summer service to Saratoga
Springs, NY will run this summer. No Cape Codder this year.

4 Feb 95: Minor changes to San Diegans associated with startup of "Coaster"
commuter trains. Amtrak says that reports of a schedule change
on the Empire Corridor are incorrect.
2 Feb 95: Service cuts on some routes. Unfortunately, Amtrak has not
provided us with a full list of changes effective this month.
We are doing the best we can with information from news reports
and picked up off the net. More service cuts are expected to
take effect April 2, when there will be a full schedule change.
2 Nov 94: Full release including all revised schedules.
Further editing of file names to eliminate slashes.

*Amtrak reports that Cherry Hill station opening is now scheduled
for 1 July.
1 June 94: More files in Word format were found in the Northeast folder.
Replacement files were uploaded as AMPATCH.TAZ and AMPATCH.HQX
26 May 94: Some files in the Northeast folder were in Microsoft Word
format rather than straight text, so most text readers
picked up a lot of garbage. Converted those files to straight
ASCII and resent the package.
