HO Free-mo Groups

Other Scales and Similar HO Groups
Go to Free-mo.org
Free-mo standards.

See a map of where Free-Mo groups are

What groups will be listed here and what groups will be listed on the Other Scales and Similar Groups list?

There is a very very limited margin for "free-mo friendly" listings, a lower height can be over come with a leg extension. Other things can not: Code 100 rail. 24 inch curves. The use of short fitter tracks instead of fitter rails. These can not be overcome.

Clubs can have a variation so long as they can meet the minimum free-mo standard at a joint setup.

If I include non-free-mo groups on a list of free-mo groups, I am not helping to promote the one standard. Including the pseudo-Free-mo groups in a Free-mo list will only encourage non-compliance by seeming to offer "forgiveness" for their non-compliance.

And spreading non-compliance will only blur the meaning of Free-mo and very likely encourage the development of competing standards (regional or ???). Divergence between the European and US standards is quite enough. We don't need more!

Think about a DCC products list that included DCC and "DCC-like" products. The latter would at best be silly and meaningless.

The point of the list is to help others find Free-mo groups, not to find pseudo-Free-mo groups.

This being said, below you will find a list of HO Free-mo groups.
