Trainorders RailCam Archive

[TrainWeb Editor's Note: Trainorders does not appear to operate any railcams any more. However, you can still see a live video feed from The Tehachapi Loop at https://www.youtube.com/c/TehachapiLiveTrainCam/live and the Dunsmuir Depot RailCam at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoXaKQw2HZE.]

Trainorders.com operates two remote RailCams in California that only activate when a train is within range. After a picture is snapped the images are uploaded to the main server within two minutes where the image will remain until another train passes.

Tehachapi
Located South of Bakersfield, California, Tehachapi is the busiest single tracked mainline in North America. Here the tracks are shared with trains from the Union Pacific Railroad and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.

Dunsmuir
Situated near the California and Oregon border, the Dunsmuir RailCam captures trains as they pass through on the I-5 cooridor, the main rail artery linking the Pacific Northwest with California. This system is funded by the Dunsmuir Chamber of Commerce and operates around the clock.
