1905 Tom Price, Petone 1906-1910 Puketapu Sawmilling Co., Matapuna 1912-1913 NZ Powell Wood Process Co., Rangataua 1914-1915 Ellis & Burnand Ltd., Ongarue. Known as "The Squirt" 5-1/2hp boiler. 1917-1920 Waimiha Sawmilling Co., Mangapehi Really a traction engine mounted on 4 wheels with large gear wheel driven from flywheel shaft and directly to gears on wheels. After 1920 the history is a bit vague. It appears to have been sold to Marton Sash & Door Ltd. at Waione and left derelict there. Its ultimate fate is unknown, probably reduced to scrap |
