Train #304 is about to hit the Detector at mile 47.0 doing 32 MPH and holding back as #103 enters the siding a mile or so ahead. I hope that someone closes the door on the nose of the second unit or they'll have to dig'er out! CN 5653, 5304 and 5449 January 6, 2001 @ 1127.
The southbound #450 waits in the Pefferlaw siding for it's northbound counterpart #451. Today's #450 is quite well powered with three big SD's while #451 got a single unit!
One of my favorite things about the Newtonville area is the abundance of these wonderful wooden bridges. An eastbound freight with the 5671 and 5060 is framed by the 'Bee Bridge' on a lazy afternoon.
In the late afternoon sun the eastbound #148 glides downgrade past Beare.
