Making history, the last daylight run of the last five operable CP MLW diesels roll westbound through Newtonville. As the sun sets on this day, June 20, 1998, an era in Canadian railroading ends.
In what has become typical, a rag-tag assortment of diesels lead a CP westbound throgh Bowmanville.
An SD40 with an interesing number leads a St. Lawrence & Hudson SD40-2 under one of the numerous wooden bridges at Newtonville.
A real prize catch, a new AC4400 and the class SD40-2F make some noise at Lovekin siding.
The same train as above is now crossing the Cherrywood trestle in north Pickering. Note that the train has obviously done some work at Oshawa.
