Original C&P railway ran across Rice Lake to Peterborough.
Cobourg, Peterborough and Marmora Railway and Mining Company
in 1866 acquired the C&P abandoning the line into Peterborough.

Grand Trunk acquired and amalgamated the company April 1, 1893.
