CPR Lambton Yard coal chutes demolition

It is a sunny Sunday afternoon circa 1963.
Date and photographer credit missing.

Engineer Frank "Smokey" Anderson is climbing back into the cab as 6537 is about to pull down the coal chutes.
The 6500 was not up to the task and work stopped.

The afternoon shift brought in reinforcements and a "Seventy Hundred" doubleheaded with 6537.

Concrete is falling down.

A stop signal is given as something happens judging by the dust.

Another pull and success!

It all came crashing down!

The demolition is done. Only the cleanup remains.
