Tatamagouche Train Station Inn

21 Station Road, Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia.

Opened 1989, first two cabooses acquired 1994.

Plenty of history here! Intercolonial Railway of Canada built its "Short Line" from Oxford Junction through Tatamagouche
to Stellerton, Nova Scotia. Eventually taken over by Canadian National and operated as their Oxford Subdivision.
Passenger service ended February 1986 and the line was abandoned 1988 and dismantled 1989.
The right-of-way became part of the Trans Canada Trail.

Acquired 10/2006. Nee Alexandra "Governor General's Car " for Lord Grey. Not yet relettered. 8/07/2012

Alexandra Rhodes Curry 8/1905.

Named for Alexandra queen to King Edward VII.

1919 became Government of Canada official car.
