| [TrainWeb Editor's Note: The web author of this website had ambitions of documenting many metro systems around the world but only got as far as documenting that of Taipei. Because of that, I have removed all tabs and links to empty pages and just kept those to Taipei. CLICK EACH ABOVE TAB TO VIEW THE TAIPEI PAGES AND PHOTOS.] |
| Welcome to the site of the Tyred Metros
around the world This site is an attempt to gather as much information as possible about tyred metros and to share it all in one location. Since the various "rail" systems are all over the world, very few informative pieces will be of original content. This site relies a great deal on permission and support from organizations, companies and individuals around the world. The term metro was used for the first time in Paris to signify the metropolitain railway. I however use the term more loosely to include other forms of "railroad" transportation to use the rubber tire such as VALs and people movers. This site and its webmaster have no affiliation with any transport authority. |
