  BNSF 1025 NORTH AT FORT SCOTT, KS. BN 5035 SOUTH AT FORT SCOTT, KS

BN 7929 SOUTH APPROACHES FORT SCOTT, KS. THE TRAIN HAS STOPPED OUTSIDE OF FORT SCOTT

Outside Fort Scott, Kansas, southbound BN 7929 slows to a stop to wait on the north local to tie up at the yards at Fort Scott..  The middle of the train blocks a lonely country road.

BNSF 1087 EAST PASSES THE EMPORIA DEPOT IN JUNE 1998 THE CAMERA PANS THE LEAD LOCOMOTIVE BNSF 1000 WEST PASSES FREMONT PARK AT EMPORIA, KS LATE IN THE DAY IN JUNE 1998.

  BNSF 739 EAST PASSES THROUGH EMPORIA KS  AMTRAK 830 EAST AT EMPORIA

BNSF 739 rumbles by milepost 112 at Emporia, KS in June 1998.  Both Pumpkins are Dash 9-44CWs.  739's paint scheme is nicknamed "warpumpkin"  or "Heritage 2".   The eastbound empty Amtrak boxcar train comes by surprise after the BNSF 739 pasted by.  The boxcar trains come out of the blue on no regular schedule.
